Mike Stern - Shadows Of The Heart

This mix is dedicated to legendary producer and filth merchant, Blackmass Plastics, who passed away on 27 June 2025. The mix was recorded at the beginning of June 2025, when I first received the test pressings of my Cyborg Samba ep. In the mix, I had included five tracks and a remix from this truly gifted artist. Sorry to hear of his subsequent passing RIP.

The Advent needs no introduction – he’s been one of the underground scene’s most ardent and long serving soldiers, simultaneously connecting techno with its b-boy electro roots while pushing the sound forward. In support of his ‘Elektronically Minded Part 2’ EP, made in collaboration with his son Zein Ferreira no less, he’s created an electro-slanted mix especially for us.

Dust Devices is the experimental electronic music project of Cláudio Oliveira, a composer and
sound designer from Porto, Portugal.
Since his first EP “Spectre Research” he has been blending the rhythmic foundations of Industrial, EBM, Techno and Electro with cinematic textures, atmospheres and synthesized experiments.

He’s been able to showcase his music in multiple national and international venues and events, including the festivals Sonar, Semibreve and Neopop, and as a regular contributor for labels like Zodiak Commune Records, Diffuse Reality, Rapture and Mera.

“Spine Mirror”, his latest full-length album, extends those sonic explorations into a more disso-nant, abrasive and mechanical approach, while breaking down and rearranging the compositional core of those genres.
Without losing sight of the elements that ignite a dancefloor, the narrative and evolving character of the music is the main focus of this project.

Eomac is a project from Irish composer and producer Ian
McDonnell, releasing genre spanning electronic music via Planet
Mu, The Trilogy Tapes, Bedouin Records, Killekill, Phantom
Limb, Emika Records and more.

His sound draws from obscure samples and raw sound design in
an ongoing exploration of intense, visceral music for body and
soul. He has performed across the globe, both live and as a DJ, at
festivals such as Unsound, Atonal, Lunchmeat, MIRA and Rewire,
and clubs like Berghain, Tresor, White Hotel and Circus Tokyo.

An active collaborator he has worked with a long list of artists
including: LAIR, Saint Abdullah, Arad, Paula Temple, Kyoka, MC
Yallah, Demian Licht, Sean Carpio, Kamikaze Space Programme,
Rebecca Salvadori and many more.
