I wrote this song as an explanation to why I disappeared from making music for a little while. I felt like I owed an explanation to everyone who supported me from the jump. Life was at a turning point and the pressure of it all got to me. I was trying to navigate it all while transitioning out of high school into college. A young 17 year old who had just won first place at an artist showcase but didn’t have any direction of what to do with the small win. It was literally the first time I had ever put my voice on a microphone and it landed me in a position I wasn’t expecting. I started to convince myself that my music wasn’t really all that only to realize… IT WAS ALL IN MY HEAD.
