Jim VanNewKirk is a solo singer-songwriter from Corona, California, and is a sponsored artist for Journey Instruments. Jim has been writing, recording his original songs over the last six years, and has been performing as an acoustic solo performer since 2010. Jim got his start performing at The Merc in Temecula, California, and has since competed in three Texaco Country Showdowns, in both Buena Park, CA "Knott's Berry Farm," and Dayton, OH. Jim has also performed at the music industries NAMM Show in both Anaheim CA, and Nashville, TN, and while in Nashville, Jim had the pleasure of performing in a Songwriters Round at the Commodore Grille. Jim's voice has been compared to Bob Seger, Travis Tritt and Don Henley, and his songs, and his original story filed songs are influenced by his favorite singer-songwriters of the sixties and seventies.
