It's sped up with a crispy new drumbeat, some little breakdowns... and of course I've given it a bit of spruce up to bring out that lovely bass and let those sassy vocals shine. This month’s freebie comes from none other than Curtis Mayfield. Of course he’s got a load of great tunes, and one of those is Tripping Out, which is all soulful vocals and soaring strings - classic Mayfield. My version has ended up as a sort of broken beat thing - I’ve sped things up a notch (but not too much), let that lovely bass do its thing and made it a bit more friendly for the mellower mixed DJ set. As is customary, I’m not asking for anything for this, other than that you download, share and perhaps enjoy!
