Mike lockley known as " Mikeanthonii" born and raised in the inner City of Boston MA, He has sprung into an individual artist who fights to perfect his artistic craft. Starting at the age of 5 singing and dancing to the latest Michael Jackson, "Mikeanthonii" grew to love music. He brings a soulful sound but at the same time an upbeat flavor to the music game. Starting  in a Group created by himself and neighborhood friends "NEXT STEP", mikeanthonii was able to get the experience in the studio he needed. In the summer of 2006 as a boyhood group which consisted of Michael, Raymond, Taji, Justin, Marques, Jay and Shawn. These seven young men were the incendiary for the musical dreams of the present duo 'NEXT STEP". NEXTSTEP in the early years practiced and perfected their vocals in the laundry mat of Maple St of  the Grove Hall Community. They recorded their first record "Damn" at Studio 450 located right in their neighborhood, so recording became apart of their regular routine. Following the song "Damn" NEXTSTEP moved their recordings to "The Baker House', a community center for teenagers. This is where they recorded songs such as "Dream Girl", "Haters" "Mad', "I'm gone", "Where do we go" and "Cant handle it'. They also appeared on a live interview at "106.1 fm Radio". These seven men tried to keep hope alive but all walls fell down and the group diminished slowly and the group fell to five members. As time went on so did the lives of each individual,their personal attributes, education and just the life of being young male began to take its course. Everyone parted there ways and all that was left was the name "NEXTSTEP", and no one to hold the torch. Later on "Mikeanthonii" Made his own Group formally known as "AVENUE" who were managed By " TERRY WALKER" who works with "Michael Bivins" of New Edition.The group was destined to make it but personalities clashed and all hard work went down the drain. So michael formed his own entertainment company with one of his former his singing parters Raymon Jamez. The company is Know as BREAKIN NEWZ ENT. and is now producing hot music which will be hitting the airwaves.
It probably seemed like the end of the road, but "Mikeanthonii" and hid business parter 'Raymon Jamez" recorded separately but held that bond and recorded on numerous occasions. Years past, they both went through the motions of being in different groups and being solo artist. But they eventually came to a conclusion that musically they were the perfect match. In 2010 until 2011 Mikeanthonii took on a Project which consisted in a collaboration between Raymon Jamez and himself which Made the New Era of " Next Step".The collaboration of the two strong and unique voices, Michael Anthony lockley known as "mikeanthonii' and Raymond Mayo  known as "Raymon Jamez' made up the Musical duo group "NEXTSTEP". They've been putting their musical minds together since the summer of 2006 to produce a sound that can't be duplicated nor imitated. 

Mikeanthonii is now focused on perfecting his craft and touching the mature audience, especially the women, which is where he gets most of his motivation to make great music. Mikeanthonii feeds off of his number one rule which is "success waits for no one, you have to go get it"; He creates his own music and is a business man as well. Mikeanthonii has worked with artist such as Fly Boi Dizzy, Ayo Hollywood, Super Group 24/ 7 and plans on  working with more artist throughout his career. He hopes to bring what the industry needs and to capture the ears of the people. Mikeanthonii  will not stop until he reaches the top.
