Born in sunset park brooklyn in the early 70's,This filipino(jojo JOBEATZ!) got into mixing watching the older guys on the block(MMC crew) do parties at the age of about 11,12.. since then i began buying vinyl records at the local music center (47th st.) before I even thought of Djing. When I did start Djing, I still went to the local record shop. At that time, kenny dope gonzalez(masters at work) worked there. i began renting and djing halls and doing house parties in the neighborhood with my partner DJ DAVE T.RELLO. The only popular dj's at the time in the hood were kenny dope(MAW), mike delgado(MAW), dj pete,harry and tony rathole(that I knew of) we all competed renting halls and throwing parties in the neighborhood. i was invited to kenny's basement while he was working on a track and was inspired to begin making music but never had the chance. i also had mutual friends of todd terry whom at the time was working on his first track called "love letters with giggles" i always used to get rough copies on cassette of all his tracks before he released them. by then i couldnt wait to get a drum machine and a reel to reel, but couldn't do I just kept DJing. i began making beats for about 10 years now, but never learned how to sample or even make tracks the right way. i just made house /hiphop beats. a few years ago i learned how to use an edit program and the sample junkie was born. im still learning how to REALLY use both softwares,(i still have a lot to learn) and a long way to go. my love for making and playing music will never end whether i make money doing it or not. my goal is to make money doing what i love to do, and thats producing and playing music. i welcome all advice, comments, and criticism.(bad and good) PLEASE COMMENT ON MY TRACKS!
