through pipe and flame, i remembered who i was
not in the ultimate sense, but in the personal one.
the girl with two strings of thought… interconnecting… interweaving.
all greyscale, all liquid, all hard to grasp.
something that once had been frightening 
was enlightening.

i was a mask of solid glass.
matte, poignant. 
concealing stagnation that devoured me whole.

simply a mark on a cluttered page.
who knew nothing of my cosmic age.

there were words interchanged from a distant range

images caught in a noose that hanged

and at some point these letters began to make sense

i love you so much that it makes me cry. i’m scared, worried, and agonised.
i believe if you hold my heart you’ll let it drop
just when i’ve found out how to make it all stop.
