The Music You Need

In Walked Bud

Written in fall 2021 after completing my first cross-country road trip and seeing a different side of the US for the first time as an adult (drove to LA & back to spend a summer in LA prior to deciding to make the move). I both revisited and discovered lots of Western & "desert"-inspired music on the drive, from Sonny' Rollins’ "Way Out West" to assouf/"Desert Blues". This composition emerged from these experiences visiting one-street towns for the first time, long listening sessions, and views of the open road, especially driving through the stunning desert landscapes in the western US.
