Originally written in June 2018 at Boysie Lowery Jazz Residency in Wilmington DE for the American proverb "The squeaky wheel gets the grease". Recorded 1 month later in Brooklyn NYC. Now dedicated to George Floyd, Breana Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, all who have been killed by the police and everyone on the front lines fighting for justice and healthcare workers on the front line of COVID19.

"Siempre Palante" is the third single from multi-instrumentalist Pachakuti and producer young.vishnu. Pachakuti is a classical trained saxophonist and pianist with strong leanings towards jazz and latin music. young.vishnu is a beatmaker, arranger, sampleologist and the founder of the Nima Composition Archive. The duo is dipping deep into hip-hop, jazz, latin, funk and soul with strong messages about politics, identity, globalization and neocolonialism.
With their first two singles - the smooth jazz beat „Semilla“ and the politically charged funk track „Power“ - the duo recieved lot of love from the beat and jazz-scene alike (and made it into prestigious Spotify playlists ike „Jazz Vibes“ and „State of Jazz“).

"Siempre Palante" is also the first vocal song from the project with Pachakuti stepping to the mic. Born into a Columbian-German family in Niedersachsen, Pachakuti lived in China and the Middle East for some years. In recent years he has spent a lot of time travelling South-America to connect with his roots and deal with the history of colonialism.
