Myron Elkins had a very different life about 7 years ago. He was a fulltime welder in his hometown of Otsego Michigan. But thanks to the interest of Dave Cobb, he went from welder to fulltime musician real quick. Myron recorded his first album with Dave titled "Factories, Farms & Amphetamines", but not long after the record was released Dave stepped down from the record label, and the record label released Myron. But that didn't stop Myron from writing and recording a blistering sophomore album titled "Nostalgia for Sale" last month. Before heading off to Spain for some shows Myron was nice enough to stop by the show! Doc and Myron talk about playing in Spain, playing with Willie Nelson, getting started in music, being from Otsego, being a Detroit Lions fan, working with Dave Cobb, finding new places to record, working in Memphis, new albums and so much more! Steve Trevino has been doing stand-up as his career for the last 28 years! It hasn't been easy along the way. He had his first special in 2012 on Showtime called Grandpa Joe's Son. then in 2014 he funded his own special Relatable that he ultimately sold to Netflix. His most recent special Simple Man has racked up millions of views on Netflix. Over the last 28 years he's learned to tune out the "industry" and focus on making his viewers laugh. Steve is currently on the Good Life Tour and was nice enough to stop by the Doc G Show! Doc, Mike and Steve, talk about starting out in comedy, finding Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy, getting a showtime special, creating his own Netflix Special, going viral on social media, coaching his kid's sports, new special material and much more! They're going across America with the Relentless tour, and before it started Jimmy was nice enough to stop by the show! Chuck Leavell is absolutely legendary in rock and roll. He joined the Allman Brothers band in 1972 and helped record their most famous album Brothers and Sisters. Then in 1982 he became the keyboardist and piano player for the Rolling Stones. He has recorded music with David Gilmore, George Harrison, Aretha Franklin, Eric Clapton, Train, Miranda Lambert, Blues Traveler, The Black Crowes and many other world-famous artists! His career has spanned over 6 decades and he's coming to Ponte Vedra for a concert. He was nice enough to stop by the Doc G Show before his concert on 9/17. During the interview Doc and him talk about Alabama football, growing up in Tuscaloosa, seeing Ray Charles as a kid, joining the Allman Brothers, Dickey Betts, joining the Rolling Stones, recording with the Black Crowes, playing with Eric Clapton, recording with Train, getting into forestry, the American chestnut and so much more! Since stepping onto the comedy scene 24 years ago at Eastern Washington University Nate Jackson has done nothing but dominate. In 2010 he started his "Super Funny Comedy Show" which eventually led to him opening the Super Funny Comedy Club in Tacoma. Early this year Nate released his Netflix special Super Funny. Nate is currently touring the country and is getting ready to come to Florida. He'll be at the Florida Theater on September 26th and in Ft. Meyers September 27th. He was nice enough to stop by the show before doing these shows! Doc and Nate talk about doing the Breakfast Club, getting into Lego, recording his Netflix special, crowd work during his special, going on Bert Kreischer's show, creating his own clothing line and much more! They're gearing up for a Florida tour -- 8 shows over 10 days, including Jacksonville. And they were nice enough to stop by the show! Doc, John, Robby and Pat talk about relaxing during the summer, going to Spain, kayaking, riding horses, old concerts, playing in the rain, splitting royalties, performing with bands like The Hails and Mustard Service, and much much more. Dave Mason is a rock icon. He performed for almost 58 years of his life. Along with Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, and Chris Wood he founded the hall of fame band Traffic in 1967. Over his career he recorded with legendary artist like The Rolling Stones, David Crosby, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, George Harrison, Michael Jackson and many others. He wrote classic songs like "Feelin' Alright" and he was even a member of the legendary band Fleetwood Mac for a short time during the 90's. Dave Mason has done a lot of things in music, and in 2025 due to health reasons he decided to hang up touring for good. This was the last interview he did before he decided to stop touring. He was nice enough to stop by the Doc G Show! Doc and Dave talk about his current health issues, they talk about a potential road to recovery, they talk about his book, his most recent album and the current state of the music industry!
