MICHAEL ROTH is a composer whose work, called "music Ives might have composed had he encountered rock and roll and beat poetry," encompasses chamber music, film, PBS, music and sound for theatre - over 250 productions throughout North America including Broadway, off-Broadway, and Canada's Stratford Festival - and experimental opera especially THE WEB OPERA (streaming at thewebopera.com), an official selection at 33 film festivals and NEW MUSIC GATHERING-2021, self-produced to fight cyber-abuse. ​Recent projects: with Tom Hanks, HENRY IV; with ﻿Christopher Plummer, THE TEMPEST; IMAGINATION DEAD IMAGINE, his music-theatre treatment of Samuel Beckett's text for string quartet, recorded voices and laptop, premiered in LA and Prague; work with Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig, Wu Man, Tom Stoppard, Al Pacino, music direction for Randy Newman; and sonatas including TUESDAY FOR TOY PIANO premiered by Mark Robson. Michael taught sound design at UCSD and graduated from the University of Michigan where he studied with William Bolcom.

am a professional UK based  session guitarist and songwriter working in TV where my clients include Primark, Flora, Touchnote, Pampers, Wealth Dragons, Horrid Henry, and the BBC. I also work with artists and I have  been fortunate to share stage and studio with Maram Hassler, Barbara Zanetti, T’Pau, Liv Austen, Dave Berry, Mike Pender, Leo Kelly-Gee, Dave Dee,Leanne Mitchell(Winner The Voice 2012)Jamie Johnson (Finalist The Voice 2014) Rachel Cardy, Brian Pool, Mike D’Abo, The Supremes,Freak Power, and many others. Aside from my work as a guitar player I am also  a songwriter and one of my songs “Butterfly” was featured on the closing credits of the zombie horror PC game  Paradigm Shift.
