The months of January and February did not feature in earlier versions of the Roman calendar, which divided the year into 10 months and left 61 days unaccounted for in the winter. They were added around 700 BCE.

January and February were initially the last months of the calendar year, which began in March (Martius). However, in 450 BCE, the beginning of the year was moved to January 1.

January originally consisted of 30 days when it was added to the 10-month Roman calendar. However, a day was added making it 31 days long in 46 BCE by Julius Caesar.

In der Kommunikation und Interaktion mit seinen Mitmenschen kommt es heute wie auch damals vermehrt zu Missverständnissen. Diese können bereits durch minimale Ungenauigkeiten verursacht werden, dennoch weitreichende Kreise nach sich ziehen. Um solchen unangenehmen und unnötigen Situationen Herr zu werden, sollte man Abstand nehmen. Denn Sachverhalt aus einer anderen Perspektive betrachten und versuchen die Beweggründe für die Handlungen oder das Gesagte des Gegenübers zu verstehen. Mit den Augen des anderen sehen, mit seinen Ohren hören und fühlen wie er. Mit dieser Methode kann bereits einiges erreichen. Denn wenn man sich selbst einen Augenblick zurück nimmt, sieht man häufig klar. Des weiteren können wir als Menschen schon während der Entstehung von Unklarheiten, unsere Wahrnehmung als Werkzeug benutzen. Einen Moment den Verstand auf stumm stellen und mit dem Herzen hören. Denn das Herz hört, sieht und fühlt immer mit. Doch der Verstand ist meistens lauter und lässt unseren sechsten Sinn in einem Meinungs- und Kommentar Schwall untergehen. Wir alle sollten öfter diese ältere und weisere Qualität des Menschsein wahrnehmen. Für ein vollständiges Bild der Lage benötigt es sowohl das Verstandesdenken, als auch die Stimme des Herzens.

This mix has been curated with the intention to operate as a Transformational Tool to the Yes Queen community.  

The intention of 'Transformation Tools' is to offer options for self-care rituals that promote grounding, self-care and introspection, to take advantage of this space we have been given to collectively move forward and Transform into the best version of ourselves.

The journey begins with some inspirational words designed to encourage a shift in perspective, before moving into some primal, uplifting downtempo house - bringing up a playful space to get the body moving. The middle section brings you into a warm, contemplative and meditative place, and the ending is designed to inspire and uplift; to help maintain the strength to navigate through these uncertain times.

The song selections throughout the mix have been inspired by many cultures, and sourced from all over the world. I love that music has no borders, and now at a time where global restrictions are high, from the safety of my house it is my pleasure to share this blend of fun, uplifting and inspiring creative expressions with you. 
 
A new world is coming, and today we acknowledge the new space that is being generated around us, allowing time for regeneration and growth. Music and dance is both a physical and spiritually nourishing experience, releasing endorphins that improve your mood, and bringing love and awareness to your body through movement.

Perfect to kick off the mid week with that extra power that most of us need during this confinement. 

Having shifted between various clubs around Madrid and Berlin, Manu is renown for bringing the house down with his unique vibe and powerful driving flow. He has warmed up the scene with some of the biggest names and underground names in the electronic scene and equally has done a number of sets for podcasts such as our friends Mehrvondenteilen and Husa Sounds.

Lockdown Sessions - Winter 2020

I approached this set with a clear vision for the dancefloor. I could see a hot summer afternoon, the suns rays casting light onto the dust as it rises from the earth, tribe stomping as one collective primal heartbeat, in the moment, together. Warriors of the dance floor surrendering to ancient rhythms.

This set I created for my Earth Frequency application 2021. Its been a very tough and challenging year for all of us and I for one cannot wait to get back to join our the creative collective of sisters and brothers at one of the best festivals in the world! Earth Frequency Festival 2021

I love to play emotive, energizing electronic dance music, often drawn towards deep, downtempo electronica influenced from instrumental and organic soundscapes from the many cultures of this world. 

My intent is to create meaningful musical journeys suited to anything from a meditative state of reflection, hypnotic movements, and all the way through to ecstatic dance. 

Creating, or shifting the vibe of a space with intention and style is the core element of my sets, using an ebb and flow of musical moods to mold that of the listener, and to move the heart, the body and the soul.
