As the light diminished, the volcanic palette undergoes a kaleidoscopic transformation, revealing an iridescence a spectral shimmering.

The sands embody the ethereal interplay of otherworldly pigments that defy earthly conventions.
Listening with multispecies ecologies: volcanic rock pools teeming with life , hermit crabs, Black Sea urchin, Goby and Shrimp, with tides crashing nearby. Human perception and language too limited to describe these multiplicitous worlds.

Using  geophones to  convert ground movement (velocity) into voltage, in attempt to pick up subterranean vibrations. The deviation of this measured voltage from the base line is called the seismic response and is analysed for structure of the earth.
In this majestic Canary Islands. We discovered alien, enigmatic volcanic landscapes, lava fields and magical caves and art by Cesar Manrique. An island carved and shaped with creativity and art.

Speculative Field Trip: Timanfaya National Park in Lanzarote

September dawn morning, two squirrels chase each other along a pine trunk, blackbirds, song thrushes, dunnocks and robins take a morning bath in the forest pond. Subdued calls until a blackbird suddenly burst into song for a few seconds.

Recorded during a wind storm at Womma-Mukurta, 'Head-shaped Hill upon a Plain', a sacred ceremonial and burial site shared by the Peramangk and Ngarrindjeri peoples. In 1984, the Ngarrindjeri and their supporters, despite a noble effort, were unable to prevent the construction of a police communications tower, and in 1987 they were again unable to prevent the construction of a tall telecommunications tower, near the summit of Womma-Mukurta.

Results of Research Report for October 10. This is 3 days after the CME that's created the spectacular auroral displays, pretty much buzzing the entire planet it seems. Very Low Frequency radio capture on October 10 here is much shorter but more intense and I recorded this even in my own neigbohor at the park callled Arena.  I was recording just before twilight and there was a very slight drizzle -- like an Irish misty rain. There were quite a few whistlers but not in "primo piano". For those not scientifically inclined the listening experience can be a rather soothing ambient track and the natural flow of atmospheric changes can induce hypnagogic trance states and lucid dreaming. Loop it and Enjoy the journey and conversation between our sun and the earth's magnetic core.

Breakfast at the pig farm

Recorded with a SASS on a cold winter night. Ice melting and falling from the trees in the background. This was recorded as part of a 3 week period of wolf observation and tracking, following their trails through the forest and snowfall, and after a while I understood their habitats and movements. This recording is made in the heart of their territory, where they regularly pass through.
