The first tune (6ft of dirt) was meant to sound like bed rotting feels

Specific kind - not the soft kind, where you need it for health - 

The one when you spiral out of control, light changes in the window feel like time is collapsing and world is ending, when your body can't tell the difference between a Sunday evening and being held at gunpoint - but in that moment even being held at gunpoint  wouldn't bring any other feeling than relief

However - it didn't give enough justice to this feeling, second half slipped into slight witch house and cinema score.

So I dug out old tunes from 2023 (involuntary map) and 2018 (wintertale) 

You may recognise one of them from Break, Collect, Protect - I separated it from the trio

I later missed something euphotic yet extremely sad, so I added part two to the first track

We walk among the ruins with trembling grace, entranced by our own reflection,
seeking solace in the very engines of our undoing,

The earth sighs beneath an ashen veil
its wounded forests exhaling a perfume of loss.

Oceans turn in their restless sleep, heavy with unseen wounds,
and the sky, once indifferent, now trembles with a feverish light.

Even the sun seems to shine with a sickened gold,
as if ashamed to illuminate our excess and complete disregard.

Meanwhile, the church steeple stretches towards heaven as if a plea
but the heavens answer only with cold indifference.

The sounds of changing strings - the friction of winding metal, the sigh of tension released, metallic resonance, fragile silence before renewal, permanence and impermanence. From the guitar’s voice, dreaming itself into existence, the instrument becomes subject rather than object. Not just mechanical gesture but intimate confession. Expressive of its own transformation, loss and renewal, the memory of resonance to come. Hovering between presence and absence, opening space for desire and reflection.

Aithō. In greek - “To burn”. Music full of strength, feeling and context. Aithō (Oliwia Radomska) is a composer and performer active equally in underground electronic and ethereal classical scene, often combining these forces in strikingly different environments. Following life-long classical music education across Europe she became a fellow and Masters Degree graduate of the world-renowned Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, following a successful BA at  RWCMD. 

 Aithō is an experienced conductor with expertise in symphonic, chamber, and choral settings. She is a trusted arranger and orchestrator across multiple genres and styles. Her leadership is described as empowering and magical. During her Masters she was one of the beloved conductors of Guildhall Session Orchestra, serving multiple recordings, events and recitals. such as UKF Orchestrave at the Barbican Concert Hall and Abbey Road Angel studios. 

 She's an awarded film composer, a specialist in music for theatre and all classical and contemporary. Her works were performed in legacy venues such as  Barbican Concert Hall, Barbican Cinema, Bute and Richard Burton Theatre, Milton Court Concert Hall as well as  iconic underground locations in Digbeth, Birmingham or London. In recent years she became devoted to immersive art, producing the cycles of shows Salome - Afterlife, as well as hosting immersive raves around London.

She took the underground by the storm under the alias Aithō - her music and identity are inspired by the volcanic ashes of Etna and the ethereal blue flames of Kawah Ijen. It resonates with deep sensitivity, power, and freedom of spirit. Her music guides the audience through a soundstorm that is intense and liberating, between light and darkness. The forces of rebellion, faith, sensitivity, thunder, divine, celestial presence, and the rawness of life merge into one energy. She's a regular headliner at Arch Festival in Birmingham since the first edition. Her fields as a DJ are industrial techno, hard techno, schranz, psytrance and bochka. 

She uses forces of techno as an urban portal to spirituality. Orchestral contexts and ethereal soundscapes provide a divine contrast to her sets.  She spent years immersing herself in experimental electronics with contexts of Darmstadt School, West Coast approach to synthesis, acoustic music, art of listening by Christ Watson, John Cage, Pierre Schaeffer and cherishes their approaches to listening dearly. 

She is an accomplished pianist, currently a resident in a secret forest location - known for her recitals as well as mystical improvisation that bridges jazz, classical, and contemporary styles.

Vincent Eoppolo (Ioppolo) is an American composer from Wilmington, Delaware. Initially trained as both a Classical and Jazz guitarist, Eoppolo began composing and recording electronic music in the early 1980’s shortly after the development of MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) and the introduction of affordable home computers and recording equipment. During the 1980-90’s Eoppolo’s fixed media compositions were regularly featured on university new music radio programs in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania region. Additionally, Eoppolo’s works received recognition in music publications Keyboard Magazine and Computer Music Journal. In recent years, Eoppolo’s fixed media works have been presented at the New York City Electro-Acoustic Music Festival, Mise_En Place New Music Festival in Brooklyn, Utopie Sonore in Nantes, France and De Natura Sonorum in Rome, Italy. Eoppolo’s compositions have been released by Moscow based independent music label Meticulous Midgets and his works are regularly featured on new music radio and internet programs throughout Europe and North America.

Eoppolo’s music is available on all major streaming platforms such as Spotify, ITunes, YouTube and Amazon as well as Soundcloud.

I've become addicted to drone. Again. I was the kid with his head on the piano, listening to the overtones die away, or pressing his ear to the steel hull of the ferry, enthralled by the sounds it created. I was the kid who formed wordless songs to accompany the sound of train wheels on a long journey, or hummed along with the fan on a hot day.

In the 60s I used to play my 45s on 16, or backwards, or by hand using razor blades as stylii.

I made cut-up tapes on a cheap cassette recorder in the 70s and experimented with reel-to-reel in the 80s.
