The inspiration for this tune came after reading a book about Sam Bellamy the Captain of the pirate ship the Whydah.  Despite the fact they were a scourge of the high seas, pirate ships also had their own on board band of musicians.   "The most popular of all the specialists on almost every pirate ship, including the Whydah, were the members of the vessel’s orchestra. Made up of trumpeters, pipers, drummers, fiddlers, harpists, and flutists, the orchestra played for the pirates’ enjoyment during their meals and in the evening." - Martin Sandler

When the morning dawns over the sea before the sun rises
before the moon has calmed down
the newly awakened bridesmaids have turned their beaks
against the wind coming from the west

de nyvakna tärnorna har vänt sin näbb
emot vinden som kommer ifrån väst
de hoppas att allt kan förbli som det är
