"Planes & Trains Remixes" consists in four tracks, we have the Original Mix from the same Hot Since 82 and also three remixes from three top artists: wAFF, Dosem and Fairmont. Each remix it's very different from the other so we ended up with a very eclectic EP.  Check out how we have revived a cut that never died!

Last year was brimming with serious label highlights, but if we were forced to pick one, we might go with THE FIELD's much-celebrated CUPID'S HEAD (KOMPAKT 290), a crowning achievement for a producer whose track record already boasts an impressive quantity of masterly crafted full-lengths. With CUPID'S HEAD REMIXE I, we start a limited 12" remix series gauging the reach of THE FIELD's unique brand of looped bliss: the first applicants include leftfield luminaries VATICAN SHADOW, BARKER & BAUMECKER and SONNS - a diverse, yet tremendously becoming selection of fellow artists from all corners of the electronic universe.
The second rework comes from Ostgut Ton's freeform punters BARKER & BAUMECKER and hits the ground running with an ultra-kinetic breakbeat pattern that perpetually raises the tension. If house is a feeling, Ray Okpara has the sensation all the way down to his soul. The Mobilee mainstay is a crowd teaser and a crowd pleaser year after year, teasing the boundaries between house and its sister sounds. After the acclaimed album Good Times became his crowning glory in 2012, Test The Cab is a stunning return to form that showcases Ray's taste for groove and soul. "Test The Cab" is a patchwork of memorable dancefloor sounds, building on a rising tide of acid lines, juxtaposed with vocal calls and cut-up samples, and woven together with spectral synth chords. "The Mumbling" snatches a bassline reprise and a processed guitar lick, moulding both into shifting melodies and propulsive rhythms, creating a unique tech house workout with micro-minimal touches. "Midnight Protein" takes fight with some serious percussive swing, adding subtle acid synths to a sultry low-slung bassline, while Andrea Oliva's remix of the same casts off a layer for the staple techy house ingredients of drums and percussion. Ray Okpara's spirited sound and animated grooves come to life again for this newest chapter of his house music agenda.

Another from the Nidhogg soundtrack. It's nice when an opportunity provides an excuse to try on other styles, but I'm also smiling when I can find a way through the labyrinth including some of where I've been. Clouds, I believe does just that in harkening back to my previous albums a bit.

Hotflush's first release of 2014 introduces a handful of new faces to label. The single, a moody house slow-burner titled "Ride With You," comes from UK duo The White Lamp, a collaboration between stalwart London producer Darren Emerson and vocalist Peter Josef. 

In addition to an extended dub by Emerson, the record also features remixes by the militantly mysterious Berlin trio ItaloJohnson and Fachwerk label boss Mike Dehnert, who inject the original with a shock of jacking minimalism. 

Italojohnson's vinyl-only version uses a gummy bassline and elastic percussion to craft a tightly-wound tool, while Dehnert strips the track  of its dense atmospherics and supplies crisp, herky-jerky drum programming.
