Stellardrone - Pale Blue Dot

I recorded this guitar part and then deleted it. I thought it was rubbish. I found it on a CD and fell in love with the guitar work. I have transcribed it and am going to recreate it only finding a better less boring groove and maybe introduce a build on the 3rd chorus. I love not knowing what it will sound like when it is finished. Take me a long time to get songs complete, other times it comes quickly. Anyhow, I like this guitar part because it sounds like me without being overly self conscious. The title refers to Lila and I being obsessed with improving our property. We hauled these flagstones to different locations on the property a couple of summers ago. We learned about working harder than we ever have before. We laugh about it now. Used them to create this nice rock garden space which we enjoy a lot.

Long Awaited Friends

 Yet another track which eventually sounded exactly as it did in my head. The darkness (mental, spiritual and physical) after we’ve been subjugated, brainwashed and    stripped of our self-will. What you hear on this track is my original guide guitar under Brian playing the same thing.   We ignored the millisecond overlaps at some points, as it adds to the spaced-out feel. I’ve buggered about with  the parentheses on this and a similarly titled track a little later because both deserved the same title, although one plays ‘yin’ the other’s ‘yang’. 

I really dig this track for its huge space and black atmosphere.
