I recorded a brand new mix for you all. 150 Minutes of fresh house, deep house, soulful house, classic house, disco and what not. 

As you might have noticed, I have not deejayed for quite some time. I took some time off, since Nov 19. But now, I am back, back riding that saddle again, and that felt good.

I decided to take a different direction this time. It's a more 'anything goes' mix, a deeper, more laid-back one. I wanted to play music I usually play for myself, at home, when travelling, or during a club warmup set.

What’s up, everybody? 

I took a deejaying break recently but continued listening to and buying new music. But of course, that never stops. At some point I had so much new music it was time to go back to the lab to create this new almost three-hour mix. 100% new music is guaranteed (well, I could not resist dropping one track cause it just felt right:-)

This is a recording of my 3 hour set in the second room of The 12,5 Years Anniversary Party of O.W.A.P. at The Warehouse in Amsterdam. Place was jam packed with lovely people. The vibe was amazing. Played strictly early nineties house classics, went from NY Garage to Detroit Techno, from Acid back to Chicago House and beyond. Absolutely loved it!! Live Recording of my 3-hour set at Bayside in Singapore. The intimate outdoor bar with a killer view. It's always a pleasure to be there, it's always a vibe. 

This is a set featuring a mix of older tracks from my collection, which I have not played for a while but deserve a spin.  I decided to take a more adventurous approach for this set, pressed play (and recorded), and this is the result.

LIve recording of my set at the slamming Strictly Rhythm Reunion Tour Event at Radion Amsterdam. I had to play after Todd Terry and Kenny Dope who both smashed it. I started at 0330 and played until 05.20, 20 mts longer than anticipated. What a night it was. Everyone was locked in that groove and stayed dancing all the way until the very end despite a long day and night of full on partying (KIngsday!). I played a selection of my favorite Strictly Rhythm classics and my favorite house classics of all time. Hope you all enjoy it. Play it loud! Peace. X. Mike

Live at Strictly Rhythm Reunion Tour at Radion Amsterdam

My full 5 hour set at the last NooFilter party at Canvas Amsterdam a while back. From soul, boogie, and funk to house, deep house, classic house, a bit of afro house, tech house, anything soulful basically. First hour is relaxed and eclectic, second hour is more 'housey' building up towards the last three hours which are straight forward head nodding house grooves. It was a great night. Loved doing it!!

With ground-breaking concepts like Club Risk, Amsterdam house music pioneer Mike Risk introduced the lowlands to many legends of House music. He is an established, and skilled ‘deejays deejay’. His deep, uplifting & energetic DJ skills get recognition by the world’s very best & are a seamless mix of upfront New York & Chicago house, deep house, & disco. Every set is a journey of digging through 25 years of house music. 

As a producer Risk has released a track ‘Welcome to my House’ on Dope Wax, the label of Kenny Dope (nr 3 Traxsource deep house chart), and his last track ‘Alright, Alright was released via T Crates, the label of Terry Hunter (nr 12 Traxsource deep house chart).
