Originally hailing from Upstate NY, DeepCutta began his foray into DJ culture as a vinyl drum ‘n’ bass connoisseur back in 1997. His love for collecting vinyl quickly gave way to spinning vinyl and immediately revealed an innate talent for mixing and selecting records. Since those early days of spinning dnb, Cutta’s sound has evolved and aligned with the dark, percussive techno-house sound often heard deep within the afterhours. It was long, blissful nights and mornings spent dancing in famed NYC clubs such as Exit, Crobar, Sound Factory and Pacha that set the stage for DeepCutta’s metamorphoses into techno from jungle/drum ‘n’ bass. The NYC underground house & techno scene has continued to be a major component in DeepCutta’s sound signature and is the driving force behind his #NOSOFTBEATS trademark sound. #NOSOFTBEATS can be described as the musical intersection between dark, crunching techno beats and tribal percussion, juxtaposed with urban and soulful house sensibilities. DeepCutta is not afraid to take it deep, mechanical and atmospheric, yet twist it with funky/soulful or sexy/seductive vocals and textures. To achieve this end, unique use of custom made song edits have been the hallmark of DeepCutta’s infectious and methodically programmed sets. DeepCutta has showcased his #NOSOFTBEATS philosophy at various nightclubs and residencies in his current city, Washington, DC, sharing the decks with international music talents such as Boris, Oscar G, Guy Gerber and Victor Calderone. DeepCutta is also the founder of DC’s largest underground techno boat party aptly dubbed “TechnOceans” which has been running for four years strong. The wild & dynamic sound of DJ/Producer Alex Grigolia began officially in 1998 when he first took his decks out into the music-scene in New Jersey, where he was originally from.  With the wild response to his ability to turn music into an all-out experience that moves the mind, body & soul – he took his enthusiasm & energy to New York where the support for his signature-style continued to grow.  Securing residencies and playing incredible venues like Roxy, Discotheque, Exit and more – the people truly responded to Alex’s innovative & signature style and connected with his creative ideas, vibrant sounds and precision skill as a DJ and his reputation grew strongly within the electronic-scene.
Taking a break in 2002 that would last more than a full decade, Alex re-emerged and burst back onto the circuit as ALUKAA after relocating to Florida in 2013.  Combining his life-experience with a whole new approach and set of ideas – ALUKAA quickly made a solid impact through his imaginative and professional mixes of all-things electro, including Techno, House, Tech, Deep House, Tribal, Minimal, Progressive and Experimental sounds.  With his sound & skills fully-refined, and his level of execution in production now rivaling the very best in the industry – ALUKAA re-established Alex as one of the most prominent forms of highly-reliable entertainment in electronic-music.
