Ndrasa (nee Sandra Bunga) was born in Rotterdam, Amsterdam in the Netherlands on June 22nd 1989. She was born to both of parents. But due to the war in Angola, Ndrasa’s  mother’s family fled to the neighbouring country of Previously known Zaire, presently known as Democratic Republic of Congo. Many of Ndrasa’s family  have married or were born in Congo which is has allowed many of the aunts on her maternal side to speak Portuguese and a dialect  called, Lingala. Ndrasa’s ethnic or rival group would be from Bantu tribe as many West Africans are, but of the Bakongo tribe, in Angola which speaks Kikongo.  Ndrasa’s father’s side Of the family are from the province Huije in Angola. They are widely and popularly known for their coffee.At the age of 17 , her father enlisted in the war to fight for his country in civil wars as well as participating in some of peacekeeping projects in other African countries,  her father then flew to Europe and her mother shortly joined him and both settled to start their family. From the Netherlands, to Germany and then finally Canada.

At a very young age Ndrasa had an imminent passion for music and loved to dance, especially to the african artists from Congo and Angola etc...  many such as Werrason, Carlyto Lassa, Koffi Olomide, Fally Ipupa, Papa Wemba, Bonga, Camilia Domingos etc… But after the family immigrated to Canada on Vancouver Island, in the small town of Duncan she later discovered different genres and more anglophone music. She was introduced to 90's electronica as well as the rise of the early hip hop and r&b. By the time Sandra was nine years old, she came to realize she not only had a passion for music, but was intrigued by the idea of becoming an entertainer. It was in this when she first began to use music to learn English and imitate the voices of her favourite artists such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, TLC, Erykah Badu, Maxwell, En Vogue, Missy Elliot, Mary J Blige, Toni Braxton, Brandy, Deborah Cox, etc… Now after many years on hiatus after first release in 2013/2014, Ndrasa is releasing and re-releasing songs previously recorded and new music in getting back into the music sphere. With newly anticipated music coming up with samples from another Canadian classic and favourite, to working alongside in production creating the music and having them fine tuned and co-written with different Canadian  producers from coast to coast.

Now Ndrasa used a mixture of the music she has grown up with also modern day r&b elements and inspirations such as Tanerelle, SZA, Snoh Aalegra, H.E.R, the Internet, INNU, Omar Apollo, Saint levant, 6lack, SiR and many more with a laid back 90’s demeanor.

The project “red wine music” features many other Canadian  artists for all listeners in English and French from all across Canada, Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal.
