John — better known as JAYA — is a drum & bass and bass-driven producer and DJ based in Long Island, New York. His connection to electronic music traces back to childhood, hearing early-90s house legends like Robin S., Darude, and Daft Punk echo through the house while his mom cleaned. Though those sounds didn’t fully pull him in at first, they planted a seed that would eventually grow into a deep creative calling.

Through his early years, JAYA gravitated toward hardcore, death metal, and punk — aggressive sounds rooted in emotion and energy. Everything shifted in high school when a friend played him Rusko’s “Hold On” (Sub Focus Remix). That one moment changed everything. The track hit him so hard that he played it on repeat for a month, diving head-first into the emerging world of bass music and discovering artists like Cookie Monsta, Flux Pavilion, Reid Speed, Figure, and Excision along the way.

JAYA has been DJing since 2010 and producing original music for the last five years, following a simple rule — create what feels real. He doesn’t chase trends; he builds sound from inspiration and instinct. Whether digging for new bass gems or revisiting old classics that spark ideas, his process is driven by passion, curiosity, and a genuine love for rave culture. His regular streams capture that raw journey — both the proud breakthroughs and the moments of struggle that come with real artistic growth.

Deeply influenced by pioneers such as Rusko, Jantsen, Reid Speed, Casey Club, Original Sin, and Liquid Stranger, JAYA gravitates toward artists who bend sound and energy in their own direction. Rusko, in particular, stands as a core inspiration — a reminder that individuality, personality, and fearless creativity shape scenes, not formulas.

For JAYA, music is life’s constant companion — in the car, during everyday routines, in celebration, and in reflection. His mission is to create excitement, spread good energy, and remind people to never take life too seriously. Authenticity, humility, and passion drive him forward as he continues to evolve within the underground community — always rooted in one truth:

DJ Capelli was raised in New Jersey and found his passion for electronic music in the late 80's at 10 years old, fueled by the resonating sounds of industrial music including bands like Nine Inch Nails, Front 242, KMFDM, and Skinny Puppy. By 14-15, he went to his first rave, discovering a vibrant community to call his own. At 16, he acquired his set of Technic turntables and a mixer and began learning the ins and outs of DJing. Inspired by DJ Bad Boy Bill and influenced by the Chicago house scene, he quickly found his signature sound playing hard house infused with the soulful essence of Chicago house & disco house.

As the '90s drew to a close, Capelli became a prominent figure in the New Jersey and New York City party circuits, collaborating with local New York and New Jersey DJs such as Odi, Kazpa, Jo-S, Empress, Pauly, and Jevic from Sympty. After a hiatus in the mid-2000s, the allure of the scene beckoned once again in 2020, during the Covid 19 pandemic being reignited by TNL's live broadcasts and the birth of the SESS1ONS events under the Verrazano Bridge. By 2021, equipped with fresh gear and renewed vigor, Capelli emerged from retirement, unleashing a torrent of hard-hitting techno mixes infused with that old Chicago flare that captured the attention of RTDF RAVE RADIO. Now serving as the resident DJ for RTDFRaveRadio.com, Capelli has delivered countless exclusive mixes and is an essential promoter. This new venture with Rave Radio throughout 2023 has opened the door for guest DJ mixes on Podcasts internationally. In 2024,  he started his new podcast on RTDF RAVE RADIO STATION: Capelli's Outta Freak'in Control Podcast featuring full line-ups of DJs airing as their Sunday flagship shows.
