Euphoria

In this world we've been through hell and back, accepting, discriminating, hating and loving. My thoughts have always been with the victims of terrorism and hate crimes throughout the years, but on june 12th, 2016, after the Orlando shooting, it became personal. I belong to a wonderful community where we try to look out for eachother and it seemed the world was starting to let us be ourselves, but a sense of fear slowly begins to overcome this. Will I still be able to walk the streets safely, holding my girlfriends hand, ten years from now? 

I'm scared of what this world is becoming, yet I will never stop being myself. Please LBGTQ-community, hold your flag up high. Anyone who fears of being themselves, hold your flag up high. Let's wave it through better or worse, standing up against any kind of hate. I hope this world will become a safer place one day.
