Invariably, after a while of listening to a beat of this kind, I start to hear hoof beats. I'm transported miraculously to a distant mystic prairie where the horse can have its head. Now the synth becomes a prairie wind. Amazing the way these sounds evoke imagery.

My SoundCloud friend from the UK Martin Dean recently took me up on a suggestion that we create something beautiful together. Something spoke deeply to me while listening to his Cloud, and after about a month of consideration he settled on this improvisational piano piece of mine, and worked to orchestrate it along the 'less is more' principle.
