Amazing quality!  The high clangy sounds are in territories that I found were so difficult to work in and yet you do it with so much taste.  🕷️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I don't know about steel skies but this has the ring of steel strings. Very sharp sounds upfront. Quite striking. Yummy beat as well. As smooth as a ticking clock, an expensive ticking clock. A delicate tiptoeing sound across a beat that lingers. And again, that steely sound but slightly less strongly so. This is lovely stuff.

An excellent track and creative piece.....lovely sound...

This song is the first The Eclectic Collective has done with Mark, and we all had a great time making it with him. This song started with Mark, who is a bass player's bass player, giving his raw bass track to Ken, who brought it to the group. Ken laid down his exciting drums to match Mark's bass line before anything else happened, though. Once we had a rhythm section, JJ laid down his dancing electric piano. Once that was in place, Josh laid down the organ. Then it was time for the guitars, played electrifyingly by both Tez and Stephen. Tez plays throughout most of the song, and Stephen added his part towards the end. Stephen also mixed this for us expertly, as always. If you have a beverage in your hands, you might want to set it down. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.

Mystery You

A few months before my dear friend and collaborator Pat Howell passed away, he shared a chord progression with me (heard at the beginning) that became the song's foundation and wanted to see if I could make something of it.  I fleshed out the progression into a song, but by then he had become too ill to help me finish it.  The song languished for months and then I thought maybe Seagull could finish the thought Pat and I started.  His additions were superb and not only completed the song, but a weave of friendship that started with Pat's inspiration. Rest in peace my friend, and thank you dear Seagull for making our initial weavings a reality.
