Having started to spin Hip-Hop records in his hometown Frankfurt / Main Christopher finally ended up in Berlin. His 'Mirrors' EP on Katermukke and 'Akumal' on Laut & Luise, where released
to wide acclaim and already show his versatility and finesse. His remixes and co-productions for instance with Nu and Acid Pauli does confirm his musical pedigree and make us eagerly await all the marvelous things yet to come from this fledging artist.

Mihalis Safras makes his debut on Hot Creations with his Raygun Rave EP. Hard-hitting basslines and rolling melodies feature throughout the EP plus a ‘Paradiso’ remix from Mathias Kaden.

With an addictive and melodic bass, title track Raygun Rave is a dancefloor awakener with influence from a bygone era. One Stop to Babel is up next with bouncing bass and mesmeric synthesis; Mathias Kaden has reinvented the track on the flip, incorporating robotic synths and wavy vocals. Finally, Sagit has a muted bassline, with a springy melody throughout and a hard-hitting kick that makes an appearance halfway.

Since 2006, the Material Series co-founder has been steadily rising within the house scene. Hailing from the city of Athens, Safras has had an impressive array of releases on numerous labels including Cajual, Relief and Material. His Play it Loud remix for Marco Carola last year received a huge response catapulting him to new levels of stardom.
Producing since 2001, Kaden has demonstrated his versatile style and individual approach throughout his career. Alongside his DJing capabilities, the German producer demonstrated his impeccable freestyle efficiency playing part-live sets throughout his album tour. Often called upon for his remix abilities, he has featured alongside artists such as Mathias Tanzmann, Anja Schneider and Trentemöller.

After bursting onto our airwaves via Radio One 5 years ago, through determination, hard work and raw talent, Danny has gone on to build a massively successful career in dance music in a very short space of time.

His weekly Radio One show now attracts over 1m listeners every Saturday and his label ‘Nothing Else Matters’ has played host to some of this years biggest anthems. One hundred releases later, the label is stronger than ever, celebrating with a mammoth EP from co-founder Jamie Jones.

An ultimate summer jam with elevating synth lines, Sound of Music is a cover version, originally released by Nookie and features chart topping artist Katy B on vocals. Kooky Chords is a dance floor bomb, with melodic breakdowns sure to set any dancefloor on fire. Next, Positive Pressure features label favourite Kevin Knapp, deep and gritty, the bassline swings with spacey layers. Last up, Parallel Universe is a deeply infectious chugger with vocal cuts.

Remaining at the forefront of the dance world, Hot Creations continues to break new talent and play host to well established producers. Releases have come from artists such as Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed, Route 94, wAFF and Roisin Murphy amongst many others including pop group Hot Natured. Critically acclaimed albums by Miguel Campbell, Digitaria, Popof and Phil Kieran have all been highlights on the label. It’s safe to say it’s been too long since we last saw label bosses and heavy hitters Pan-Pot grace Second State with their ‘Solace’ EP back in November of 2016. So to have them back with two big bombs and a remix from the one and only Petter B on their ‘Funke’ EP curbs all anticipation from all of us who have been dying for new material.
Kicking things off is ‘Spitzer’ with hi-octane percussion and reverb heavy acoustics spanned out over ten minutes where simplicity rules and the age old saying that “less is more” has never been more accurate. Flipping sides we see the duo take a similar approach on “Funke” but deliver a rugged and brutally mesmerizing lead that coaxes the inner devil inside all of us. Rounding out the EP is a carefully curated remix from Gothenburg’s own and former Hertz collaborator Petter B who hands over a beautiful rendition of ‘Spitzer’ where dense, lavish atmospherics carry a heavy looping groove to a gorgeous climax. It’s good to have the boys back and we think you will agree when you hear their stunning new ‘Funke’ EP.

Production was always a hobby of Mikeys but never put out to any labels because of his work commitment for his own and other brands. 2023 will be Mikeys year of many releases on some big labels and you are sure to see him at many more shows across the world.
