Soul Gardens (Collab with Mikey on Sax)

This song is a result of trans-Pacific cooperation at it's best. my his friend Mikey McFaffington, of Geelong, Australia, sent me some guitar chords and a smoking sax riff. I took them both, added an arrangement, bass, organ, guitar, and a beat. This is the result. We hope you like it. You can find Mikey on here, too, under his name. 

Far and Wide (with Mikey McFaffington)

This is an afrobeat song that I came up with based on a beat I boosted from BandLab. They have all kinds of great beasts on there, btw. Anyway, I sent it halfway around the world to my friend Mikey McFaffington in Australia. he proceeded to summon his magical saxophone throughout the song, bringing it to life. We both had a lot of fun making this one, and appreciate you taking the time to read this. I'm playing bass, guitar, electric piano, and synth horns on this one.

It was pink and looked like a pumping heart which was  too cocky on the run
At its lower end something small blinked seductively in the rising sun

The Witness Statement (Crow No 3) ft Mikey McFaffington and his Saxophonic Adventures

This song started as an idea David and I came up with to do an afrobeat song together.  So David came up with this banger of a bass line and drums track and sent it to me. I added some guitars, electric piano, and organ. I then excitedly sent it to Mikey to add the sax, which I consider to be a key element of afrobeat music, and which he always does so well. David's version is much more drum and bass heavy. Please have a listen to both so you can hear how they both sound. I really had a good time making this song. David produced and mixed both versions, and what a fun thing it is to hear my instruments integrated into an elrctronica song by such able hands.

Thank you very much to everyone who takes the time to listen, like and share my noises. I am extremely grateful. My apologies if I take a little while to respond to those that leave nice comments.

I like listening to music, making simple, tunes when I have time, and generally faffing about in an inefficient manner. Hopefully you might like something on offer here. 

I use a Hinkler Cigar Box guitar (about $30 from Aldi, great fun), a Flying V ukulele, a couple of old keyboards, other bits and bobs, and a Yamaha tenor saxophone.
