The energy was magical, the setting filled with warmth, art, and the closest of friends. Moments like these remind me why music connects us so deeply.

This is my very first set from the Playa this year, and I’m grateful to finally share it with you.

Kalaman - Tomorrow Today - Burning Man 2025 (Sunset)

This recording is from my sunrise set on the Axolotl art car at Burning Man 2025. The music unfolded with the desert light, moving from the light filled night into the warmth of morning. It’s a reflection of that moment when time slows, and the Playa feels suspended between two worlds.

What stays with me most are the smiles, the energy, the eye contact, and the absence of worry I felt from everyone around me. It was a connection I will never forget.

Thank you and much love to the Axolotl Art Car and 1001 Nights family for giving me the space to express myself in the most magical place on earth.

Burning Man gave me one of those unforgettable gifts, sometimes the unplanned moments are the ones that stay with you forever.

My only gig at BM was supposed to be on Monday evening but it took us 7 hours in line to get into the gate so I couldn’t make it on time.
The last heavy storm on Tuesday left the roads muddy, the bikes were pretty much useless, and honestly, I wasn’t feeling my best. But sometimes the universe has other plans. After walking across the playa with my dear friend Lost Desert for his set at Sound Garden, as he was about to finish I was asked to step in and ended up playing an unexpected 3-hour journey.
As the rain returned, the tent filled up and I did my usual thing. I got pretty emotional after I finished playing, was just so grateful to have been given this opportunity and it reminded me why I’ve always wanted to come here to experience the community, connection, and the beauty of the unexpected.

Special thanks to the whole team of the Sound Garden camp, you definetely made my first burn one I’ll cherish forever. Feeling gratefull and blessed, will see you all next year.

Chris James 
Christopher James focuses on creating sets that are filled with emotion and moments of reflection while maintaining the dancefloors energy and flow.

Southern California was where Chris was 1st drawn into the electronic scene in the mid 90's, listening to DJ’s such as Sasha, John Digweed and Nick Warren. Over the next few years Christopher developed a lasting interest in house, techno & progressive and began to fine tune his sound and identity. A warmth can be found in his music as he mixes a maze of percussion, echoed melodies, spaced out atmospherics and twisted vocals his sets take you deep while infusing them with an infectious groove that keeps your journey forever moving forward. Whether early in the night, peak hour club sets or taking everyone deep into the early hours of the morning make no mistake… a journey is what you're in for.

Christopher has performed in cities such as: Denver, Miami, Orlando, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Antonio & Austin. Having also performed 8 times at The Ultra Music Festival in Miami as well as Aruba (Love Festival) and Curacao (Paradise World Festival). Now in 2016 Christopher is back in Southern California where he is a part of the Wulfpack LA crew.
