ince 1997 Frederic Fantastic known as RoTaX is a highly energizing DJ playing Acid planet, Axis, Bunker, Cavage, Clone, Curley, De oorzaak, Drop bass, Fondation sonore, Hangars liquides, International major label, Moustache, Nous'klaer audio, Network 23, Panzerkreuz, Rephlex, Toolbox, Toxic, UR, Viewlexx, Versatile, Zmk and many more exciting labels... He is currently based in Provence after 15 years leaving in Rotterdam, NL, 8 years in Lille, 1 year in Paris and 17 years near Lorient, Brittany.

Frederic Fantastic started collecting records early 90's and finally decided to DJ after meeting Jeff Mills at Amplitude festival 97. From then he never stopped spinning records on 3 turntables all over Europe.

In 1998, he moved to Lille, France to study and then he met some people sharing the same interest in music and parties. They all decided to live together and found a house, the infamous 180, boulevard Victor Hugo. This place was during 3 years the fresh alternative creations center of the town where all artists where meetings 24h/7... the turntables never stopped spinning!
Not less than 200 parties were organised in less than 6 years with the 104e20 sound sytem and Modus operandi crew. 

Frederic played acid, techno, house and also experimental with artists like Daft punk (club Rêve d'Ô Crydamoure label launch night!), Adolf (US import), Tuttle, Neotron, La peste, the sisters Mouse and No name, Saoulaterre, Hellz Army from NYC, Helius Zhamiq, 69dB, Crystal Dystortion, Hardcoholics, Simon Underground, Manu le Malin, Acid Junkies, Chris Liberator, Suburbass, DJ SaiZ etc. and in the same time, Frederic Fantastic pushed his alter ego RoTaX all over the place spreading free acid tekno sounds and met many dutch artists who he played with many mixers and turntables... Ask Stefan Zmk, Paul van der Wees (Wirwar, Accu), Bor (Zodiak commune) and the Panzerkreuz dj team ;) 

Most of them were coming from Rotterdam-Den Haag and after some years of going back and forth, end of 2005 he decided to live in Rotterdam, the djs town.
At that time Frederic started playing at Bootleg Dj Café, Worm and many other clubs. the quality of his dj sets got uplifted with the influence of artists like Alessandro cortini, I-F, Guy tavares, Unit moebius, Mark du mosch, David vunk, Seutek, Ian martin, Richelle soigni, Monica electronica, Josz le bon, Dissolvement and many more... Thank you guys for your love to music.

Frederic Fantastic is known for his highly energetic and versatile dj sets where you can be sure to move your body on ultra funky intergalactic electro sounds.
