We’re excited to launch Freddy Street Records with “System Chant” by the infamous Otautahi/Wanaka Duo, Dub Shrubs. This soundsystem-ready track combines modern steppa and dubstep elements to create a groovy and powerful sound that merges the strengths of both genres.

This release also includes a skunky remix from Otautahi producer Sano, which features a more dubbed and siren loaded take on "System Chant", featured on the B side.

@cocobolosound are on a roll at the moment. This time, they’ve drawn for some proper old-school energy from @swrbeats with his 'Bill Bak / Step Back In' double release. 

Listen to our premiere of "Step Back In" here. What begins as a moody 2-step cut quickly gets deeper and more complex. Rough oscillating bass, shifting sub lines and sharp, scattered rhythms are all bound together with clean liquid synths that seep across the whole sound. "Step Back In" is a perfect, nostalgic dark garage soundtrack for soaring in the shadows until the morning light.
