French composer Alexandre Scheffer unbars a marvel of intricate yet minimalist and elemental compositions.
Through the 10 chapter story, the artist intertwines layers of subdued downtempo within crispy electronics, hinting at our fragility with resolve while reaching out beyond genre boundaries with unfathomable talent.

Vincent Villuis remastered the album and added Aftermath # 08 originally released on Nova’s compilation Albedo. This new version, titled Aftermath 2.0, digitally released mid-April 2013 in lossless format on Ultimae’s store, offers a collection of HD wallpapers presenting the artwork of Paul Takahashi. 

"These Aftermaths which one experiences closely of from afar, at times personal others mediatized, these dark grey or luminous climatic moments." 
Telescoping of natural and urban zones; rhythmics verging on industrial or diving into liquid air; deep bass lines shaking ecstatic drifts - "Aftermath" aims to be a series of sound photographies of our "beautiful" world in complete rotation. Peace, it seems, becomes precarious, some are trying to archive the concept.

Mihalis Aikaterinis, Greek artist, has a natural ability to compose music as ethereal as deeply grounded. With roots in the gothic and cold wave realms and a genuine passion for the electronic scene, he weaves with verve and subtlety finely crafted rhythms and soft melodies. The wide soundscapes, floating atmospheres and resonant themes reveal profound emotions akin to melancholia and hope.

[ Elsewhere ] is a cinematic downtempo, IDM and ambient album presenting 12 tracks including a remixed version of Ominous Ride featured on the [ Ambrosia ] compilation.

Human Theory

Mihalis Aikaterinis is the name behind project Miktek, born in Mytilene, on the island of Lesvos in Greece. Miktek constantly explores various soundscapes, styles, and atmospheres; experimenting on a large scale in electronic music mostly in ambient, IDM and downtempo.
