Qmusic heeft maandagochtend een vernieuwde studio in gebruik genomen. Ook de jingles van de radiozender zijn tijdens de zomervakantie vernieuwd, waarmee Qmusic fris van start gaat met het nieuwe radioseizoen.

The Netherlands’ world famous Radio 538 has today launched their brand-new sound, once again produced by Wisebuddah. 

The 2021 package for the Talpa owned station sees the artistic talents of Marc Vickers, Ben Townsend, Steph Jansen (Wisebuddah) and Chris Hartgers (538) combine again, collaborating to take the sound of 538 even further.

With over a dozen new compositions, ranging from Drop House to Dance to Urban Pop, the package contains new generic station IDs and a fresh TOTH sequence, all reflecting the cutting edge of CHR imaging.

Chris Hartgers, Creative Lead, Radio 538, said: “ We’ve worked with Wisebuddah for almost 10 years now, our combined goal was to keep ahead of the trends and to come up with the next stage of imaging for Radio 538. We needed to make sure that our listeners could still recognize the well-known ‘Radio 538 sound’ over the new package, but more than ever we needed to push our sound forward. After 8 months of hard work, I can proudly say that we have brought Radio 538 to its new chapter of imaging and sound. And boy, it’s a good one!”

10 stations, 1 day, 1 cause: helping Ukraine and its people. In a massive simulcast fundraiser on March 7th across all major radio stations in the Netherlands. We've donated a jingle package.

Dutch public broadcasters NPO 3FM, NPO Radio 2 and NPO Radio 5, and privately-owned 100%NL, Qmusic, Radio 10, Radio 538, Radio Veronica, SLAM! and Sublime, are simulcasting for one day as ‘Radio 555’ with a joint network program. The station is named after the bank account number of the united help organisations, including Unicef and the Red Cross. Listeners can request a song in exchange for a donation at giro555.nl.

1 sound for 10 audiences
Simulcasting across 10 stations, a universal sound was needed. Sublime PD Rick Waltmann coordinates the audio branding of Radio555 and speaks about a creative challenge. “Each station normally has its own target demo and music format; varying from CHR to Oldies. Together we want to set the right tone, and appeal to as many people as possible. I asked PURE Jingles if they could support our cause. In just a few days, a complete package was created in which all of our wishes were incorporated.”

The Radio555 package symbolically consists of 5 jingle themes, each delivered in (over) 5 versions, as well as 5 beds & drones. News, weather & traffic imaging and sweepers are included as well.
