For our first edition, we are pleased to introduce Jacobo García López de Araujo aka Clap Kent.

After a decade of invigorating Madrid’s nightlife with projects focused on culture and community like Self-Care and The Bourbaki, he decided to move to Barcelona in 2021. A collector and DJ, his selection – deep and curated – draws on forgotten gems presented with a close-up perspective, looking slightly to the left of the horizon.

During this time, he has played at clubs such as Nitsa, Sisyphos, Café Berlín, Razzmatazz, Virage Paris, Departamento Studio Bar, Dabadaba, Brilliant Corners, Laut, La Terrrazza, Pikes Hotel, and Bar Oriente. He’s also appeared at festivals like Primavera Sound, Soundit, and Kamiwaza, sharing the lineup with artists such as Paula Tape, The Hacker, Peach, Shanti Celeste, DJ Tennis, Bradley Zero, Fantastic Man, and Todd Terje.

In 2023, Clap Kent released his own productions on the labels DRecords and MM discos. Additionally, in March 2023, he released his first album under a new pseudonym: Sculptures, a conceptual record inspired by the Hippocratic theory of the humors. Currently, Jacobo combines his work as a DJ with roles as a cultural strategist and booker at The Kitchen.
