'Fidget' is as its name suggests, characterised by erratic and spontaneous structures displaying a higher level of compositional detail than previous productions. It was made by combining live jamming and in the box production. 'Fidget' borrows from the spontaneity that comes with live improvisation, as discovered on previous releases such as 'Megafauna 2013-15' who’s compositional process focused more on live jamming. However as a result of Fidgets creation coinciding with studying digital production at Access to Music, it was discovered that the benefit of composing and producing in-the-box was control. The tracks on this EP are experiments discovering what’s possible when the control of digital production meets the spontaneity of live jamming/improvisation.

The force that lead the creation of these tracks was curiosity, intuition and excitement as opposed to working to a pre conceived concept using knowledge and experience. The tracks are explorative conversations, asking questions through experimentation and making statements through interspersing the experiments with found techniques. Each section in each track is in response to the last. As a result, the musician refers to them as “Musical chains of thought”. They are introspective conversations the musician had with himself rather than a statement he is making to others.
