WINTI DANSI 

WINTI is a spiritual belief which lives under the six ndyuka tribes in Surinam. The dancers prepared their bodies with herbs and are therefore able to dance through the fire. While doing the WINTI DANSI, it is possible for the dancer to go into a trance. The WINTI DANSI is only performed on special occasions. 

This mix is recorded with a closing state of mind. Powerful rhythmic tracks which connects me to my KRAKTI (Powerful) culture. Searching for a bit more edge while keeping consistent rhythms. A bit faster than the other NDYUKA podcasts but never fast for the sake of being fast. 

Just like a WINTI DANSI i love it when people not just hear the music but really feel it. To a point where you could close your eyes and connect with the smallest details without any effort.

Polygonia 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 | Tanzwüste @ Fusion 2024

In anticipation of the next release on Eaux, a mini-album collaboration with Polygonia entitled "Dermatology," I have decided to release a rare recording of one of my live sets, taken from this year's Mostra Festival, located in the historic Montjuïc Castle overlooking Barcelona. Performing in the evening in this majestic location with the open-minded Mostra audience, I felt especially free to let this set unfold even more slowly and patiently than normal. Some of the material is taken from the upcoming release with Polygonia, so it also functions as a sort of hidden sneak preview. I hope you enjoy the journey :)

Under his pen name Chlär, Charles Accarisi sets forth with a full rig manifestation of techno that jolts from one trunk-rattler to the next. From his native Switzerland to his adoptive home Berlin, the potency of his sound has followed him and grown ever larger, an assertive strain of dyed-in-the-wool techno that’s groovy and layered as a mountain rock. Working over and above his standard DJ duties, across A&R, events and sound engineering, Chlär practices full-involvement in much of the music pipeline, starting with his own sound and that of new finds and ending with the music’s final dialogue in public space. He’s been keeping busy, and as half of Funk Assault, co-runner of Bipolar Disorder Rec and founder of Primal Instinct his plate’s more than full, but his just-released first full album on the latter label shows little signs he’s tiring. The Architects of Shadows explores current political and sociological themes as broad as nationalism and social atomisation, rifts that through his many roles in music, he’s working hard to bridge. The promise of that newly connected world comes alive through the primacy of his beats, looping, packed with meaning but immediate nonetheless. Bassiani Podcast 248 is an hour and a half of dizzying basslines and all encompassing loops that bear witness to Chlär’s undeniable skill as techno selector. These are future-ready beats from a techno polymath.

KWINTI WITAGRON

Kwinti is the smallest of the six recognized maroons of Surinam. They formed their communities in the rainforest and have their own marron language Kwinti.
Witagron is one of the main settlements and home to the Kwinti. Until this day the strength of the six tribes are very present where even still the smallest communities have the biggest impact.

At my sweetspot this one hour mix is recorded at 144 bpm. I've emphasized sexyness and groove but at the same time find deeper moments without letting go tension. Dansi yere!
