Sonic 3 will always be one of my favorite games! Here are some alternate takes on some of the levels and themes. There will likely be more of these in the future! Some of these are WIPs and not 100% perfect yet, but enjoy nonetheless. :)

Dear SEGA, I hear that legal troubles regarding Sonic 3's original soundtrack might be part of what's holding you back from a re-release of Sonic 3 ( www.sonic3remastered.com/ More info here)
I suggest an alternative solution to trying to get the rights to use the songs that are currently providing a roadblock in greenlighting the project.

1. This was made on VGM Music Maker.
2. I used all the original instruments and samples.
3. I added a couple of samples of my own.
4. I tried to match the PSG closely, but it's not perfect.

Sonic 3 Title Screen (Alternate)

Wow, I forgot to do an alternate theme for this laughing jackass. Includes parts of the act 1 boss theme.
HEY! Have you signed the petition @ http://sonic3remastered.com/ yet???  You should go do that. That's what these are here to raise awareness for. A remake of one of the best games of the 90s and possibly ever! Tell SEGA to make it happen. :D

[Alternate] Theme of Knuckles

This doesn't even NEED an alternate. D: Crap. Oh well. I wanted to make less of a 'tropical party' song and more of a 'Wow! new place, let's explore!' theme here. It's not quantized perfectly, and I'm likely to touch it up later. Consider it a WIP!
Anyone else like this stage better before it catches fire?

[Alternate] Angel Island Zone Act 1

Rather than redoing act 1, I decided to finish act 2. I might redo both later. They both have some decent moments, but I think them (and carnival night act 1) could stand to be redone at some point. Who knows! MYSTERY! Speaking of mysteries, it's still a mystery if we'll get a remake of Sonic 3. Help it become a definite yes by going here; http://sonic3remastered.com/

[Alternate] Angel Island Zone Act 2

I kind of slacked off after I heard that it wasn't likely we'd ever get a remake of Sonic 3, and never finished this. I put a few band-aids on it, and ... well, here it is. It's far from perfect, but it bothered me not seeing the set complete (folks kept asking about it. :P )  Not the greatest, but eh. As always, I ignored polyphony rules.

Haven't done a Sonic remix for a really long time haha (Just in time for Sonic's 25th Anniversary!), let alone a VGM remix. I've had this idea in my head for a long time now and I thought I might as well get started on it. I initially wanted it to be a small song but it turned out to be my biggest track on Ableton yet, using more than 60 tracks which nearly killed my laptop lmao.
