An artist who broke through last year after entering into EQ50’s female mentorship program, and one that has been working with Shogun Audio as a mentee, Athena continues to impress with her soulful sound. You only have to check out her “Miss You” single on our Point of Origin Vol. 4 to hear this on show - a track heavily supported by the likes of Shy FX, LTJ Bukem, and tastemakers Drum&Bass Arena.

We’re very pleased to announce she is returning to Shogun for her second release with single “Don’t Let”, which has found a home on our Shogun Origins series. Packing the dreamy melodies and crisp drum breaks more people are coming to know her for each day, “Don’t Let” is a testament to the rising talent who is destined for big things in the scene. Don’t just take our word for it though… If you’re familiar with Goldfat Records (and especially Athena’s track “Take Flight”), then you’ll know all too well of the serene creations this artist has been cooking up over her first year in D&B.

Estella Dawn’s single, ‘Steal Your Girl’ has been described as “Addictively infectious, openly suggestive and loaded with confidence” as well as “Sultry and seductive, dangerously teetering along the line of intimidation and persuasion.” So where do you go for a fresh take? Well first you keep the really cool shit. You know the confident, cheeky lyrics, killer sultry vocal performance and crazy harmonies then add a full new upbeat arrangement—think four on the floor beat, band pass sweeps, claps, etc.— and you get an even MORE danceable song.
Always a master of incorporating unexpected twists in both lyrical substance and musicality, Estella’s approach is consistently refreshing – forever pushing the boundaries of contemporary and traditional pop, with stories and set-ups that intrigue and satisfy in newly creative ways. For for the remix of ‘Steal Your Girl’ we get a touch of Lady Gaga influence in both that gamer-esque bassline and the distant vocal inflections; the sort that bring a sense of choral presence and colour to the stage.

From February 1st to 2nd, 2025, 449 musicians and 24 visual artists came together to challenge themselves: 18 hours to create cover art and supplementary branding, and 18 hours to produce songs between 50 and 70 seconds-- no more, no less. A major challenge, but a welcome one. The resulting 66 tracks consist of some of the most high-energy, creative, and fun music that the FORM community has to offer.

During times of stress, fear, and worry, art is what keeps us going. It can be an enormous tool for good or simply a small glimmer of hope in an otherwise dark time. If any%: Level 2 is a testament to anything, it's our ability to keep getting back up and finding joy wherever we can. Our lust for life is what helps us fight for those around us and for causes that matter to us, which in turn enables us to create more and more art forevermore. Start that project that's been in the back of your mind. Pick up a skill you've been meaning to acquire. Try something new and allow yourself to fail. There is so much triumph to be found in our art, and so much art to be found in our triumph.

All proceeds from any%: Level 2 will be donated to CHADS, a nonprofit dedicated to awareness, prevention, and programs surrounding depression and suicide.
