How to cultivate personal peace

In this in-person and online group meditation, we talked about the spreading effect of Vedic Meditation and why it's good for those around you. We also discuss why group meditation enhances the effect (and can even be uncomfortable), as well as why not everyone will learn to meditate.

All meditations are good

We talk about balance being dynamic and flexible, not a static state. Meditation develops our perception so we can detect what needs to change so we can find the appropriate balance in the moment.

Finding balance with adaptability

We discuss a psychological concept known as locus of control:
• the degree to which a person believes they have responsibility for their life, vs the degree to which external forces are driving their experience
• how Vedic Meditation relates to this and our experience of stability

Finding an Internal Locus of Control

Michael discussed the Sanskrit term "Sookshma":
- the quality of subltely and refinement
- how we can experience Sookshma in meditation and in our day-to-day
- Sookshma as something we gain more of over time
