A tribute to the world's most underrated pioneers of modern electronic music! 

Starting as the house band at Sugar Hill records, Keith LeBlanc, Doug Wimbish and Skip McDonald hooked up with Adrian Sherwood to form Tackhead (aka Fats Comet). Working together with Mark Stewart (as Maffia) and Gary Clail (as Tackhead Sound System) they produced some of the most exhilarating, funky and down-right experimental electronic music of the 1980s. This set charts their career from 1984-1989, mixing in rare dub mixes, alternate versions and interviews with the band members themselves. It's time they got their dues; it's time to Play It All Back: "Tackhead in the Area!"

Tony: "Probably the first song written in this batch. I had the tune Les came up with words. I think I had an input into the last verse. When Paul got involved he refined a couple of chords, and lengthened the refrain, so it now sounds more country rock than avant garde jazz... Simple and effective I hope and I think the mix is great. Danelectro 12 string, not a posh Rickenbacker and all the more lovely for it!"

Les: "This song came together during my first songwriting session with Tony, he had the riffs and tune up front and I added melody and lyrics, although it was Tony who added lyrics for the last verse. Paul J white came in later to help refine the song with George waters on drums - came out naturally with a country rock vibe, engineered and produced by Ally Lee, who else?? Anyway hope you like it!"
