PARTE PRIMA
Dopo un anno viene riaperta la sala del banchetto: è una via di mezzo fra una cava di marmo e un salone rinascimentale. Si accendono le luci; gli inservienti fanno il loro ingresso recando le statue ancora velate su delle portantine. Una volta che le statue sono state messe in posizione, esse vengono svelate ed entrano i camerieri con le carni.

PARTE SECONDA
Le statue vengono nutrite: la carne cruda, sanguinolenta, le viene posta nelle mani di pietra, ficcata in bocca, lasciata gocciolare orrendamente creando un contrasto rabbrividente fra il rosso dell'essudato ed il candore abbagliante della pietra. Le statue mangiano avidamente.

PARTE TERZA
Quando anche l'ultima delle statue è sazia entrano i distruggitori che, armati di mazze di ferro, procedono a farle a pezzi. L'esecuzione è sommaria: alcune statue sono sbriciolate, altre invece spaccate in due o tre parti. Gli avanzi del banchetto restano sparpagliati a terra, ed a quel punto entrano gli animali selvatici.
