Talvi Faustmann and Josh McIntyre are Prince Innocence from Toronto. The two met in high school in 2007 and their relationship has been equal parts complicated and creative since then. 

Today, Prince Innocence debuts their latest single, "Polished" - a hazy, considered gem on which Josh reflects: "Polished" is an ode to the vapidity and fantasy of modern love. A song that speaks to yearning, pleasure, pain -- about that intermingling. We've always worked best with a minimal, stripped down structures and "Polished" is the culmination of that feeling. It's the quintessential representation of our sound."

"Polished" is the project's first new material in over a year and follows 2015's slow burners, "I Don't Care b/w Manic." 2013 saw the release of their debut EP, Lapse.

This 12” is a document of modern contemporary music, containing future artifacts made by a selection of old friends and new faces. All of them deviate from what’s obvious, possessing the ability to be serene and mental at the same time. Their coming together here is a great opportunity to appreciate this kinship, while at the same time acknowledging what distinguishes them from each other in terms of sound and representation.
This is my testimony.
