Our aim with this song was quite different from most of our previous songs released. We felt like giving the voice a key role, and overall looked for a very organic, minimal and analog sound. We wanted the track to sound very 'human', and make the vibe almost jam-like. We really took our time with the track and consequently it is the longest track we have released thus far. Azaleh - Moonlight 

The perfect beginning of the newest IMMINENT story. 
The opening track on the Florescence compilation tenderly embraces listeners with a soft piano intro, signifying the beginning of evening time in the digital city of our sonic aesthetics. In a moment, Moonlight starts to project a beam of bright white light with the track immediate unfolding. 
The viscous dynamics of Moonlight is led by tangible bass-line and pulsating percussion, reminding of the medusa underwater movement. Vocal samples and atmospheric synth pads, appearing and dissipating like momentary echoes, provide listeners with an eclectic mix of nostalgia and a sense of new discoveries. Less intense ambient sequences without percussion straighten sonic variety of the piece, creating a visual image of a fade out screen before the next scene of our music story called Florescence is introduced. 
Interestingly, the possibly final text supplement for our fundamental Florescence compilation release is a review on the opening track by a producer named Azaleh, his commentary and, most importantly, an upcoming exclusive interview with the artist himself. Nevertheless, it’s a great opportunity to rediscover this sonic gift that is the compilation release. More art miracles are coming your way from the IMMINENT collective. 

Azalehs commentary on the track:

Moonlight is a really important track to me. Most of it's melodic work was laying around for a long time and I didn't know how to finish it. One day, on a train ride through Sweden I started writing what became the outro of the track later. I didn't mean to combine it with the rest of the track at first, but when I had the idea it made so much sense and sounded great to me too.
Listening to it wakes so many memories, it reminds me of the places I've been to and the people I met.
I hope that it makes you feel alike and takes you on a journey too.

Today, breath-taking post-classical artist Poppy Ackroyd shares her brand new single ‘Paper’ taken from her first full-length album with One Little Indian Records, Resolve – out early 2018. A classically trained pianist, violinist, producer, and composer, Ackroyd turned heads in the neo-classical world with her previous works Escapement and Feathers, as well as her involvement in Hidden Orchestra (Tru Thoughts).

Having played alongside giants of the genre, Hauschka and Nils Frahm, the unique musician has returned, newly signed to Bjork’s label One Little Indian Records, fresh off the back of a mini-album Sketches, and set to release her brand new self-produced full-length record - her most ambitious and progressive piece of work to date.

Pennsylvania native Keith Kenniff’s output as Goldmund has established him as one of the preeminent composers of minimal piano-based ambient music alongside peers like Hauschka, Dustin O’Halloran, and even Ryuichi Sakamoto, who himself once described Kenniff’s work as “so, so, so beautiful.”  Hyperbolic as it may sound, Goldmund’s newest collection Occasus may be his most exquisite yet. Where his previous recordings trod faithfully and sincerely on paths of dimly lit, polaroid-esque nostalgia, Occasus deepens the undeniable aesthetic that was hard-won over eight previous Goldmund albums, while expanding the palette to include desultory clouds of synthesizer and a tastefully distressed analog sheen.

The word Occasus means downfall, end, or the rising and falling of heavenly bodies. The title is apt in more ways than one: while the emotional tone of the album denotes bittersweet feelings of conclusiveness, it also perfectly soundtracks the quiet moments when we look up to the sky, and humbly relearn the smallness of our lives as cosmic objects churn slowly overhead with bewitching indifference. Occasus feels deeply personal, private, and hushed yet simultaneously grand, colossal, and profound. Remarkably Kenniff is able to capture micro and macro with equal fidelity.

‘blind’ is a reflection about human limitations. Interviewed about agnosticism, David Attenborough brilliantly stresses the point whether we’re missing senses to perceive and understand the world around us - what a pretension it would be! Built as a subtle transition from acoustic to electronic, the piece blends genres, deconstructs categories, pushes back boundaries alongside a spectrum reflecting human’s potential to self-transcendence. Might we be blind at night, at least we aren’t deaf.

Un jour interviewé à propos de l'agnosticisme, David Attenborough s'interrogeait à savoir si nous possédions tous les sens nécessaires pour percevoir et comprendre le monde qui nous entoure - quelle prétention ce serait d’y croire! Construite en subtile transition de l'acoustique vers l'électronique, la pièce métisse les genres, déconstruit les catégories, repousse les limites en proposant un spectre reflétant le potentiel humain à l'autotranscendance. Bien qu'aveugles la nuit, au moins ne sommes-nous point sourds.

As many of you already noticed I am now active under my new alias 'Ambyion' for a while which I made a new soundcloud account for. I did that because i always wanted to have a own created individual artist name. Besides the fact that "Julian Kruse" is also my real name I saw it rather as a placeholder all the time. I had to figure out my own music style over the years until I could decide for a suitable name for me as an artist, so it was just a matter of time until I found a name that fits my style and I would change to. 
Anyways, the important thing i want you guys inform you is that I will continue making music on this account which is now renamed from 'Julian Kruse' to 'Ambyion'. But no worries, the music will basically be the same so nothing will change for you except the new alias under my tracks. If you only follow to my old Ambyion soundcloud account, please make sure to follow this account.
