Nights are coming and going and faces appear and vanish, great plans are made and rarely held up to. While that is the mode that keeps the machine running, from time to time something greater can evolve out this fast paced spare time profession. That is to say, it is a great pleasure to smooth the way for our dear friend »Kleintierschaukel« and his »Blue Elephant«.

A rare species whose origins are found in »Motomia« (A1), that odd place where sticky clocks tick faster than time passes. Still all confusion is lost in the calm whispering of Juliette (A2), a harmony of strange confidence. Despite all its apparent harmlessness, it needs the soothing voice of our all beloved Leonie to let its vast figure withdraw to the rivers and show the gentle nature of this »Unterwassermann« (B1). Back in his element all notches are smoothed out and movements unite in a rythmic flow. This is not a documentary, this is the Blue Elephant: »TV Ende« (B2).

All echoisms aside: We are very happy to have Mr. »Valentin Stip« from Montreal himself contribute his interpretation of »Motomia« (D), a delicate dissection, reunited to a greater interaction of the most gentle kind.

Danish artist Be Svendsen combines once more with the Crosstown Rebels crew, following on from his emphatic NU 'Man O To' remix, which landed in late February. The latest collaboration comes in the form of the new 'Twilight in Tankwa' EP, it comes with two original cuts as well as a remix from Berlin native Nico Stojan. Lasse Bruhn Svendsen ,as he's known to his friends and family, has been a proponent of refreshing electronic music since his emergence in 2014 and the work he started continues with yet another special record. The title track is a slow-winding groover that's coated with intricate melodic touches, while an engrossing atmosphere rotates around a punchy drum ensemble. Sol Selectas is a label dedicated to melody rich dance music with tribal rhythms and ethnic grooves. The label is run by American artist Sabo and this new Sol Selectas release titled Summer Sol II, is a collection of tracks from around the globe. The twenty three track compilation features music from the likes of Nicola Cruz, Noema premiered here, plus many of the labels' favourite artists, and some fresh new faces. The music on this release takes influence from the folk law of many different cultures, and fuses it with contemporary electronic beats. Blending melodic harmony with ancient rhythms, the tracks are intricate with mystic vibes, and a subtle euphoria that’s blissfully uplifting and perfect for the summer.
Last year’s Summer Sol compilation topped sales charts in several genres on Beatport, spawning a number of summer anthems, and this year the label has put together its strongest package to date.

The line between the real and the illusory is delicate. Ideas, concepts and words define who we are, but they can’t be touched, they don’t physically exist. So what does exist? Does something have to be concrete and physical to be real, or are concepts and metaphors real too?

This EP is about perception. It’s about the power of ideas. It’s about embracing randomness. It's dedicated to the dreamers, the shakers, the movers and the makers. We’re all born of civilised madness, so let’s go with the flow.
