MIM PAQUIN (she/her) is a dynamic New York-based award-winning actress, voice actor, singer, composer and writer across all media. She was born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, a city with a rich maritime heritage and vibrant cultural scene that has shaped its artistic spirit for generations. A fifth-generation performer who began performing at age five in a fully staged musical production. Mim studied acting, voice, and dance at The Boston Conservatory on a full musical theatre scholarship. She trained privately with industry titans Michael Shurtleff, Marni Nixon, and Christina Henson Hayes. At the start of her professional career, a teenage Mim won Massachusetts Broadcasters Awards for her voiceover and narrative work. Her hallmark is artistic diversity and a lifelong commitment to performance, honing her acting range and vocal prowess through years of dedicated training and performance, and maintaining an impressive four-and-a-half octave vocal range and stylistic versatility.

Her versatile career spans stage plays and musicals, film, voice acting, concertizing as a headlining soloist, music composition for film, podcast, and musical theatre, and writing stage plays, screenplays, and podcast theatre. She often creates her own projects—defying industry typecasting—highlighting her distinct talents and abilities. Some of her original projects include They Wonder as They Wander (Christmas music album and podcast play), Frogcatcher (film), and They Rally for Death (play)-- all in various stages of development and releaseMy natural speaking voice boasts an impressive range from tenor to soprano. It’s both authoritative and warm, bold yet sweet – sometimes silly – and smooth with a captivating edge.

    Originally from the historic old “whaling capital of the world,” her natural specific American accent carries a unique blend of punchy local flavor and worldly, knowing expressiveness. She is often compared to the voices of Scarlett Johansson, Sigourney Weaver, Jennifer Anniston, and Cate Blanchett and often asked to deliver authentic soundalikes of famous elderly actresses. She is best known for my soundalike as Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown in Bridgerton. She does not impersonate, she emulates, presenting the voices as real and grounded, not comedically. She is a voice actor building a character from the ground up. Mims says, "I respect Julie Andrews’ career journey and admire her. I just happen to have that voice that can do that thing. Likewise, is my soundalike of the late Angela Lansbury. Women whom I admire. I may not have gown up in Vaudeville, but I to started on stage in staged musicals when I was five years old. I also happened to study voice with Marni Nixon in NYC, (that trivia is merely a coincidence that musical and film nerds might appreciate reading.)"

    She prefers voice acting work that is character-driven using voice-acting abilities and range. She really enjoyes documentary narration too. She is versatile and open to all types of work.
