"Im sogenannten „Cleanroom“, dem allegorischen Schauplatz dieses Hörspiels, eifern zwei namenlose Frauen, gesprochen von Naemi Latzer und Autorin Mimu Merz, dem digitalen Abbild ihrer Selbst nach. Im Stakkato wiederholen sie Devisen der Selbstoptimierung. Bis zur vollkommenen Reinheit wird die Persönlichkeit gefeilt, geschliffen und geputzt, bis sie in den „Eierkarton des Lebens“ passt. Kann dieses gelingen? So sehen die beiden nun zwar auch in ihrer Freizeit aus wie auf Instagram, doch die Fassade bröckelt. Wie das innere Ökosystem schützen, wenn Abgrenzung zwischen Innen und Außen, Körper und Technik, Privatem und Beruflichem aufgehoben ist? Nicht ohne weiteres, denn wer nicht mitmacht, hört auf zu existieren. „How to protect your internal ecosystem“ wurde im Oktober 2019 als Theaterperformance im WERK X-Petersplatz in Wien aufgeführt. Im Juli folgte die Erstausstrahlung des für das „Ö 1 Kunstradio“ produzierten Hörspiels unter der Regie der Autorinnen (Schmidtke/ Merz), Tonmeister war Martin Leitner. Für Schnitt und Bearbeitung zeichneten Mimu Merz und Oliver Brunbauer verantwortlich. "
