Biography
DJ NightKid formerly known as James Tan, he was born on the 1st of February and he come from Teluk Intan, Perak is a small place where he grown up. He was always confused about his future life until he found that he is suitable for being a hair stylist. He always enjoy of nightlife such as clubbing, having some hang out at the night with friends.His passion for music is greatly undeniable. Ever since he was young, he has a passion for all kinds of music, so as he do. By enjoying the music from different DJs, he wishes he could likely become a famous DJ one day as well. 

James start to studio Powworkz DJ Academy where he can learn. The professional DJ,Dj Monkey a well known RockStar in KL, he is as the tutor of James. DJ Monkey teach him everything about music, technique,mixing and sharing some of the experiences. So James started his DJ education since 2011. Approximately learnt about a year, James had a thought of created DJ name. DJ NightKid, he began his DJ career. DJ CrossFinger, the resident of Stage Club, Avenue K Jalan Ampang every saturday night. He introduced James to join into club, giving him some opportunities to spin in the club. Now he is seen again in the Kuala Lumpur dancing scene. As his sense of music developed, his genre has moved from pumping breakbeats to sexy RnB, Hip Hop, Electro House & Commercial Hits.
James has also collaborated with multiples DJs to release his own genre defining mixtapes which has received commends and praises from numerous people in the club industry.
A pure believer of the unity of music, fashion and lifestyle, James is also an accomplished hair stylist. His love of music made him pick up the art of DJ-ing. Small-town boy at heart, yet carrying big beats, assuring you have a good night when he is on deck duties ,support DJ NightKid
