Contrary to popular belief, and what your ears may tell you, the songs posted on this blog were not recorded by Fleet Foxes, but rather one dude who impersonates Fleet Foxes using overdubbing and lots of reverb.

Carnations formed in Manchester in January 2009 following the union of Andrew with the already established group of instrumentalists Phill, Don and the two Richards. 
Andrew's distinctive & recognisable voice immediately lent itself to the diverse range of sounds that the group was creating and Carnations have been honing their sound ever since.

This is the official sound cloud for the Get The Folk In Podcast.  The podcast is about folk music with a focus on original writing.  Traditional folk is welcome too.  

The aim is to create an online presence that will build into a performance space for acoustic/folk musicians to perform in in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Just a creative outlet. I wrote these songs at random times. These are mostly bedroom recordings on a cheap USB device. The other two songs were put together in a local studio in a couple of hours. It would be great to have more capital and time to explore this more and to get out and sing. I really need a break from the wind and grind!  I am not a trained musician but love writing songs with the few chords I know. I would love to get a group of people together to create and perform!
