Si elle se nourrit d'influences post-punk, électro, industrielle et house, la techno reste son genre de prédilection et sûrement celui où elle est la plus exigeante. Amoureuse de musique progressive, elle aime façonner un son mental et percussif. Elle s'est rapprochée du Venus Club pour entretenir cette énergie.
Dernièrement Perdu et Retrouvé a été à l'affiche d'un évènement Venus Club à CIEL, d'un évènement PWFM à la prairie du canal et de la réouverture de la Machine du Moulin Rouge.

This album is Inspired by the Nooscope Manifest by Pasquinelli and Joler, and its view of AI as an instrument of knowledge extractivism while using an analogy with optical media. In Comfort of the Darkness, jjsauma presents a collection of tracks where he lets AI create its own interpretation of music by building dub versions of the tracks created for this project. In this case, a test of the Nooscope Manifest was applied as a filter for a multitrack recording. These tracks were conceived as glitch/techno/ambient and were given a dub treatment by an amorphous entity with human-like characteristics programmed by jjsauma using Max/MSP. Human behaviour, bias, inconsistency and failure are part of the new aesthetic created by using AI in arts and industry, showcasing uncertainty as a precondition of dialectics, as opposed to the certitude of traditional computational processes.

While AI raises a lot of questions, it produces its own vision of the world, and this album is a representation of AI’s intellect along with the human fingerprint of the original creator of these pieces. Dub production techniques allow a producer to re-envision and re-interpret music in a personal way. This album is human music re-interpreted by AI’s aesthetic properties of dub.

This album is the result of the research made by Joaquín Jiménez-Sauma presented at the Joint Conference on AI Music Creativity (KTH Royal Institute of Technology) and Conference on Computation, Communication, Aesthetics & X (University of Porto).

Carpe Sonum records in the US have just launched my new album "Variants Of Perception" to pre order, The CD will ship out at the end of March. 

The tracks on the album were recorded between 2019 & 2020 and I sent Dave at the label a selection of works to choose from, by late 2020 we had narrowed it down to seven pieces and a running order was selected and I set to work to create a sequence which now makes the album flow in a continuous listen.

To achieve this, some additional arrangement/edits were created at the end or beginning of some tracks. 

The album clocks in at over seventy minutes. 
"Variants Of Perception" see's me returning to an often haunting yet melodic mix of Ambient and experimental beats amongst a myriad of my influences yet delivering that Mick Chillage tonal & emotion flair.

Bio:
Amsterdam-based DJ and producer NAKANO BLU entered the scene during the turbulent year of 2021, after changing his career as a drummer for dark electronic music. Being active for many years as a hip-hop producer and versatile session drummer, he decided to start a new project focused on the inspiring sounds of the Amsterdam club scene, where techno is king and there is a huge space for experimental DJs. and producers to reproduce their songs for an audience that loves electronics. His first single released on Cologne-based label Urban Undergrounds was a more laid-back, fringe house track, but his production style quickly evolved into the IDM and lo-fi techno sounds of his first EP, Æ, released on the Berlin label Corresponding Positions, label of releases from techno legends like Umwelt or Templer. Following this evolution, NAKANO BLU progressed towards breakbeat productions and fast DJ sets containing an eclectic mix of techno, IDM and Latin-American electronic music, defining their particular style of DJing and ready to tear up the dance floor of any club.

Story about set:
After switching from the more outsider house and techno sounds from his first EP ‘Æ’ towards more experimental and darker ambient works inspired by his collaboration with photographer Kim Boske (installation work exhibited at FLATLAND Gallery Amsterdam). NAKANO BLU started a journey in dark and experimental ambient music, where he focuses on the texture and characteristics of the sound rather than in finding 'beauty' and soothing music, that is his personal way to can transport you to a different state of mind.

Hailing from Kristiansund on the northwest coast of Norway, Helge Tømmervåg has been crafting electronic sounds since the early '80s. His earliest work recorded under the now-familiar Mind over MIDI moniker arrived in the early '90s. He's released scores of highly regarded and stylistically uncompromising sounds over the years, appearing on labels including Silent Seasons, Diametric, Hibernate, Whitelabrecs, ROHS! Lontano Series, Shimmering Moods Records, Slow Tones Collages and via his own Berserk Fabrik.
