He makes beautifully modest and understated music, highly recommended to fans of life's subtler joys.

"A lot of times it’s not only the sound itself but also the way it has deteriorated. I just love the crackle of vinyl, the saturated distortion of analogue tape, the hiss of wax-cylinders, the aging process of the artifact itself is equally important as the sounds themselves. The EP has a distinct Biosphere sound. In true techno/ambient remix-tradition, Geir Jenssen has taken the essens from the original, and re-created the tracks in his own sound and mood universe. Stylewise, it can be compared to Patashnik, with it's mix between the rhythmic and the ambient.

He's been around for two centuries and has a discography the length of the country he is living in. Meet Helge Tømmervåg from Norway. Most people know him only by his artist name: Mind over MIDI. Instead of the capital Oslo, Tømmervåg resides in Kristianssund, a tiny city near the west coast.

Since his techno excursions in the late nineties, Mind over MIDI has been a trustworthy beacon in the icey seas of Nordic electronic music.

If you can picture the very furthest, coldest, darkest part of Norway, that's where Mind over MIDI resides. If you want to get an idea of what it's like there, and can do without the frostbite, then this is the perfect solution.
