'Bicycle Ride' is inspired by a library of bicycle sounds I recorded in university while studying sound engineering and production. I've always liked bicycles... here in Berlin it's my main mode of transport and I can't live without it!

My track 'Bicycle Ride' contains many of these sounds and I wanted to give the sense of a journey through the track... Of course, it can also be interpreted in different ways ✨

Over almost exactly 1 year, Kozy, the label boss of AlpaKa MuziK, and Safira, the esteemed Norwegian psytech ambassador, have meticulously curated this audio odyssey, fusing their profound knowledge and passion for the genre to create an immersive experience that captures the essence of the underground electronic music scene.

This album is a testament to the ever-evolving nature of electronic music and the psychedelic techno movement, where each track serves as a portal to the unexplored dimensions of sound.

AlpaKa MuziK is incredibly happy to present our yearly recap compilation, we chose to re-release some of our favorite tracks and releases from the last 12 months.

2023 was our biggest year yet with over 37 official releases and a dozen free downloads, putting us at approximately 50 releases total for the year and over 200 tracks.

Label boss KOZY, has compiled a selection of some of our top tunes, and AlpaKa team favorites from 2023.

Although we wanted to include many more, we cannot put more than 30 tracks on a single VA, which is already more than we usually select for a VA. We had a very tough time selecting as we could  have selected way more incredible productions.

This compilation included 30 of our favorite tunes, produced by 50+ artists from 2023 at an insanely discounted price of 19.99 for the entire 30 track pack!

Zephyr EP houses a complete Russian take-over from the likes of Spintribe and LAVR. Sprintribe reinforces their particular, crossbreed of retro progressive techno intertwined with African rhythms and funky house that sounds like it’s the result of robotic dinosaurs getting down. On remix duties, LAVR provides us with textbook, zenonesque precision. From his space station, he commands cinematic breaks, dark stabs and fluid grooves. Zephyr EP is well-rounded in its broad approach to the underground, psychedelic sound.

Dark Design unleashes this forest-dwelling EP, Caipora, into the wild. Also hailing from Melbourne (AUS), Unknown Concept and Jedidiah feed us two outstanding remixes. The original track is cinematic in sound design, contained by spacious textures and trails along with warm analog synths. In contrast to the electronic sounds, there's a natural balance with world percussion and organic foley. Both remixes lend creative ingenuity to the EP. Unknown Concept brings the heat with his driving, big room prog techno and Jedidiah lays down utterly cerebral psychedelia. This EP is for those lost in the jungle and is the vines between psychedelic techno, progressive and deep house.
