Sol Rising crafts alchemical musical journeys one ecstatic beat at a time. His original soundscapes evoke feelings of bliss throughout an eclectic mix of hip-hop, funk, soul, reggae, and electronic dance beats.

Born in Vancouver BC, Brandon began meditating at age four with a walking mantra technique. His mother took him to visit numerous spiritual teachers, who inspired him on the spiritual path he walks today. As a teenager, he became a hip hop fanatic.
His rooted interest in hip hop led him to learning the art of scratching — using turntables as musical instruments. Sol Rising soon became one of America’s top scratch DJs, winning second place at the DMC, the world’s most prestigious DJ competition.

After graduating in the top 5% of his accounting class at University of Iowa, he realized accounting was not his path. A journey to India illuminated his true calling — to light up people’s awareness of their true nature through music. This lead him to study audio engineering and production at Pyramind Studios in San Francisco and produce his first album, "I AM Soul."

Now a successful Producer/DJ, Sol Rising plays major events across the West Coast, including Burning Man, Symbiosis and Lightning in a Bottle. He has opened for major acts such as Beats Antique, and produced official remixes for artists including Jai Uttal, Mochipet, David Starfire, Delhi 2 Dublin, Kirtaniyas, and more. With a fervent following in the Ecstatic Dance scene, he has headlined Ecstatic Dance Retreat Hawaii, and is a fixture at Ecstatic Dances across the country. Sol Rising has been featured in major media outlets including the Washington Post, and his music has been enjoyed by over one million viewers in a viral YouTube video.

In 2023 Mazoulew well and truly made his mark on the electronic music scene with Ditto being the #1 most-played song on SiriusXM in the USA for over two months straight and locked on rotation for over a year following.  
BBC Radio has featured Mazoulew multiple times as ‘One to Watch’, with Ditto, Shogun & Kin ft. Handbook receiving support from Jaguar on Radio 1 Dance Show, Sian Eleri R1 Chillest Show and Breathpod Daily Breaths R1 Decompression Sessions. Also with, Overdue drawing repeated love from Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music Introducing. Tourist has also been getting international love from Nick Luscombe on his Tokyo CIC radio show as well as repeated spins from Georgie Rogers and Jay Carder on Soho Radio.
His single For You, ft. Sebastian Davidson, released on the world’s largest independent dance label, Armada , has been on heavy rotation on SiriusXM in the USA. While Australia’s No.1 radio station Triple J has had his remix of edapollo Gold Light - Mazoulew Remix ft. Akacia locked on repeat.
